Cape Cod Bay Challenge Training Diary

One of the things that is critical to distance paddles, or any distance sport, is preparation. Last year for the 1st CCBC Mike and I felt we really needed to stress proper training. I know I needed it…I had a LOT of catching up to do. We decided to put up a training diary on the standupzone. I’m not sure why but for some reason along the way it became one of the most viewed threads on the zone…over 7,000 views of what we were up to. Lots of words of encouragement…and finally an Irish blessing to send us on our way.

It was a great help to me to push myself even when i didn’t really feel like putting in the miles.

We’re doing the same thing this year. For those of you that are joining the paddle, get on the zone and keep track if you would like. We would also love to hear from others out there. Give us some encouragement and some good trash talk.
